Norman's Wood

Norman's Wood is a 28ha woodland between Yoxall and Barton under Needwood. It has been created around a new pond and consists principally of broadleaves with some poplar and conifers to add commercial interest.  A small area of ten parkland trees has also been incorporated.  A wild flower and grass seed mix has been sown on the wide avenue area for caravans and this will be managed as a wildflower meadow.  Bat boxes are installed on existing mature trees.
