Parkside Coppice

Parkside Coppice is a 7.75ha woodland, with a strong nature conservation focus, on the outskirts of Tatenhill.  It combines new woodland planting with existing, remant ancient woodland, open grassland and a gully with large field maple trees and elm stumps.  An area of ridge and furrow grassland is managed under Countryside Stewardship to protect its archaeological interest.  Grassland alongside the stream is managed as open ground and a new lime avenue has been planted along the side of the track - the old Common Lane route.
