Beehive Woodland Lakes
A 27.4ha Tender Scheme in the Mease Lowlands, Beehive Farm has been a winner in three separate years and is a true example of farm diversification. Touring caravans, motorhomes and tents accommodated in an attractive woodland site. The woodland combines both recreation and conservation with fishing lakes and trails. Fishing jetties include some that have been adapted for disabled anglers. Open areas are managed as hay meadows and are also used for special events. An osier bed has been created in a wetland area and ditches and scrapes provide habitat for dragonflies. Since the first plantings in 1995, the site has developed very good wildlife interest on what was arable farmland.
There is a caravan site and the buildings contain a tea room, crafts unit, and workshops.
