Raddle Farm

Raddle Farm covers 44ha of former arable land in the Mease Lowlands on the edge of Coton-in-the-Elms immediately opposite Coton Wood.  It was a Tender Scheme winner in 1997 and 1999. A number of mown rides are provided through the site for both walking and horse riding. The landowner has also created permissive paths and a new dedicated right of way to link with the existing Right of Way outside the site.

Planting is a mixture of broadleaves and conifers with compartments of commercial poplars in the wet areas beside the Pessall Brook. Bat boxes have been installed in the existing wood (Please note that there is no access to this area).  Horse riding is permitted around the edges of the compartments.

The fishing pool, leased to a local angling club, is a quiet area surrounded by reeds and other aquatic vegetation, providing home to wildfowl and dragonflies.
