Working in Partnership

The National Forest Company works in partnership with tourism businesses and other partners to enable their activities to be aligned with the ambitions of The National Forest Tourism Growth Plan, and that we’re all working towards a common goal.

Here’s a flavour of some of the partners we work with…..

As the national tourism agency, VisitBritain/VisitEngland plays a unique role in building England’s tourism product, raising Britain’s profile worldwide, increasing the volume and value of tourism exports and developing England and Britain’s visitor economy.  The National Forest is recognised by VisitBritain/VisitEngland as an emerging destination with significant potential for growth.  Wherever possible, we partner with VisitBritain/VisitEngland on their UK domestic marketing campaigns and supply them with PR stories and digital content to promote the Forest.

Destination Management Organisations

The National Forest covers three counties (Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Staffordshire) which are all served by a county DMO.  The National Forest Company works with each DMO (Destination Staffordshire, LeicesterShire Promotions & Marketing Peak District & Derbyshire) to ensure wide participation and uptake of product development opportunities and marketing campaigns.  Recently, the National Forest Company and the three DMOs signed a Memorandum of Understanding committing the partners to work together more closely to support the development and growth of tourism in The National Forest.
